General tips

Bolivia is a mostly dry country, like it's neighbour Peru. Bolivian women are often dressed in colourful traditional clothing, often including a shawl. Industrial-looking buildings with bare red brick exteriors are common in urban areas.

Plates

Slightly narrower than standard width. Plates have blue text, but that's usually hard to tell through the blur.

Road markings

Bolivia has solid white outside lines and either double or single yellow inside lines.

Road signs

Bolivia signposts are supported by thick and unpainted wooden poles.

Bollards

Bolivian bollards are rare. They are white cylinders of two types - one has a red ring, and another has both red and yellow squares.

Poles

Bolivian poles seem to be quite unregulated. Here's one of the more noticeable ones

Scenery

Bolivia can look a lot like Peru, but the land is much more flat and deserty.

Car metas

Bolivia always has a white halo of a car. In contrast to its neighbours, Chile's white car is far more opaque, and Argentina has a black car. However, a small portion of Peru has the same white car and Brazil uses it often.

Area codes

Bolivia has a simple area code for landline phones. However, many phone numbers are mobiles beginning with 6 or 7
