Uruguay is much smaller than Argentina, but they can be difficult to tell apart since they both use the black Google car and similar road markings. The easiest way to tell Uruguay from Argentina is the thick wooden signposts which are usually painted white. Uruguay also generally feels a little poorer than Argentina.
Plates
Full-width white plates with black lettering. Since 2016, new plates have had a blue horizontal strip along the top of the plate. However, since the Street View coverage in Uruguay is from earlier than 2016, the presence of a blue strip is more likely to indicate Argentina than Uruguay.
