General tips
Japan stands out for its low camera and yellow plates. Look out for Japanese text as well, as signage is normally fairly good. There are plenty of small, box-shaped Japanese cars which don't seem to be sold much outside of Japan. Japan has unique reflectors with a black and yellow vertical stripe pattern on its utility poles - different to Taiwan's diagonally-striped reflectors - and often has circular mirrors for seeing around corners on windy roads.Plates
