General tips
The Dominican Republic has only two locations covered: its capital, Santo Domingo, and another large city to the North, Santiago de Los Caballeros. The bars on the Dominican Republic car have a black strip running down the middle of the grey metal, which is a dead giveaway that you can only be in the Dominican Republic or Mongolia; two places which are otherwise unlikely to be confused.Plates
Rear plates are white with a slight yellowish tinge that is sometimes visible. Cars rarely have front plates.
Poles
The most useful tip for distinguishing Santiago de los Caballeros and the Dominican Republic's capital is Santiago de los Caballeros' utility poles, which are typically painted a muted shade of medium gray at the bottom, whereas Santo Domingo's poles have no paint.Car metas
The camera car has a visible white blur on the read and visible bars. Not many Spanish speaking countries have bars on the camera car but Guatemala does - a quick way to tell teh Dominican Republic from Guatemala is the lack of visible side mirrors on the camera car in the Dominican Republic.
