One big clue for the Philippines is that most roads are paved with concrete blocks as opposed to asphalt. These roads can also be found in Thailand, but are more common in the Philippines. The Philippines feels very south-east Asian, but unlike its neighbours, it has many Spanish place names and uses latin script and English language.
Plates
Most plates are white with black lettering. Some older plates can have a greenish hue because there was a background graphic behind the lettering.
