General tips
Macao, also spelled 'Macau', is easy to confuse for Hong Kong, since both places have plenty of Chinese text and skyscrapers. In Macao, however, the license plates are black, and the secondary language on road signs is Portuguese, as opposed to English in Hong Kong. Macao only has gen 2 camera coverage, whereas most coverage in Hong Kong is gen 3.Plates
Black plates with white lettering, which can help to tell Macao apart from Hong Kong.
