Greek uses a non-latin alphabet, with characters which are fairly distinctive. Road signage often has place names in both Greek and Latin alphabets, in yellow and white text respectively. The landscape is naturally very Mediterranean. Look out for the distinctive direction signs which feature yellow text on a blue background.
